Will 'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date Be Delayed? Plot Details Rumored To Focus On Ishida Sui's Manga Series Character Kaneki Who Now Known As Haise Sasaki

It's just been nearly two months since "Tokyo Ghoul" season 2 ended but many are already waiting for the next season.

There have been speculations that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 release date would most likely be on summer, but the anime adaptation to Ishida Sui's hit manga series will most likely be delayed following the latest development claiming that a spin-off series is already in development.

In an exclusive report by Anime News Network, a spin-off anime to the successful "Tokyo Ghoul" series titled, "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack," is said to be on its waym and would most likely be on air in May or June this year.

The spin-off series, which most likely be released prior to "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is said to focus on Kisho Arima.

Here is "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack" synopsis:

"In 'Tokyo Ghoul: Jack,' an incident involving a human-devouring Ghoul occurs in Tokyo's 13th Ward. To seek the truth behind what happened to his friend, the rebellious high school boy Taishi Fura pursues the Ghoul named Lantern with the young ace investigator Kishō Arima. The story follows how the ace investigator Arima and the talented 7th Ward investigator Taishi Fura first met."

While no official statement as to when the release date of "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 would be, When-will.net reported that the third season would probably feature the story of the manga series, "Tokyo Ghoul:re," which "revolve around Kaneki who is now an amnesiac and is now known as Haise Sasaki, a rank 1 investigator and the leader of a special unit of investigators at the Commission of Counter Ghoul called Quinx Squad."

"Tokyo Ghoul," which first gained its popularity in Japan is a suspense-horror fantasy manga series created by Sui Ishida.

The manga, which has been adapted as an anime instantly gained popularity in U.S. Europe and some parts of Australia brought by Pierrot for streaming and home distribution in North America.

The story starred by Ken Kaneki and Rize Kamishiro relies heavily in the city haunted by zombie like creatures called ghouls set in Tokyo, Japan.

Prior to the anime adaptation, "Tokyo Ghoul" was first serialized in the Weekly Young Jump magazine in September 2011 until September 2014. A prequel titled, "Tokyo Ghoul: JACK" followed suit.
