Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Rumors: Samsung To Announce New Tablets In June, May Feature 8.0in And 9.7in Screen Display

Samsung is rumoured to announce its latest Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 with two different screen sizes of 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch next month, Android Headlines reported.

According to Phone Arena, Samsung is now in the works of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 predecessors which will be thinner than the Apple iPad Air 2 and have a 4:3 display aspect ratio as it was previously leaked on SamMobile.

It still uncertain whether the upcoming tablets will measure 5.4mm or 5.5mm, but it will surely beat Dell Venue 8 7000 as the world's thinnest tablet. Also, Sammobile believes that it will be made of metal like the Samsung Galaxy S6.

But GSM Arena confirmed the alleged measurements of the Galaxy Tab S2 are 237.1 × 168.8 × 5.4 mm for the 8.0in and 237.17mm x 169.58mm x 5.4mm for the larger variant. They are also pretty light which weighs at 260 grams and 407 grams respectively.

The report went on that the Galaxy Tab S2 will be powered by Samsung's very own 64-bit Exynos Processor and supported by a 3GB of RAM. There will be an onboard 32GB of internal storage will offer a large space for user's files and can be expanded through a microSD. As for its camera, an 8MP camera will be on its rear and a 2.1MP front snapper.

It will be shipped running on Google's latest Android 5.0.2 Lollipop, but the Galaxy Tab S2 variants will have an inferior resolution of 2048×1536 resolution Super AMOLED display compared to its predecessors.

Meanwhile, its connectivity features include an optional Cat. 6 LTE connectivity provided by a Samsung modem and Wi-Fi only or LTE-enabled versions.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 variants' release date is said to be some time in June and will make its debut in US, Canada, some EU markets, China, Latin America, Hong Kong, Korea, and India.
