Was The ‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 1 Finale Too ‘Crazy’ For Viewers? Find Out Which Plot Twists Garnered The Best Reaction!

Everyone's heart swelled filled with warmth when Jane (Gina Rodriguez) gave birth to a beautiful baby boy in the "Jane The Virgin" season 1 finale. But when that dodgy nurse handed Matteo over to Sin Rostro by the end of the episode, Twitter exploded in cries of shock.

Just how "crazy" was the twist thrown at the audience that night?

Analytic canvasser Canvs made a qualitative analysis of Twitter reactions of the show, Lost Remote reported. According to the research, 6,702 of the 17,364 tweets were emotional reactions to the first season's ending. Most of these were about Matteo's kidnapping.

Other plot twists in other episodes of the Golden Globe-nominated show also created several "crazy" reactions from social media but those weren't more pronounced than the ones at the "Jane The Virgin" season 1 finale.

The stakes will grow even more next season with Sin Rostro's new face. She also killed off the plastic surgeon who worked on her face, thus getting rid of the only person who knows what her current face looks like.

According to Canvs' analysis, there were three other outstanding moments in the entire first season aside from "Chapter 22".

People were particularly shocked in "Chapter 12" when Milos (Max Bird-Ridnell) and Petra (Yael Grobglas) set up that throat-slitting scene to find out if Magda (Priscilla Barnes) could really walk. Roman (which turned out to his twin brother Aaron which, in turn, was actually the real Roman, played by Alano Miller) coming back from the dead in "Chapter 13" also got an 11% in the "crazy" reactions.

Jane and Rafael's (first) breakup scene in "Chapter 19" also got a significant percentage of emotional reactions.

Despite breaking up with Jane, however, Rafael (Justin Baldoni) still got half of the viewers on his side while about 46% are on Team Michael (Brett Dier). This contrasts to the show's own cast's opinion on who Jane should date.

Almost all of them, except for Justin Baldoni and writer Jennie Snyder Urman, were rooting for Team Michael.
