Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini To Receive Android 5.0 Lollipop Update Soon; Check Out Other Devices Here!

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini has been confirmed to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop along with other high-end and mid-range phones form the Korean tech giant.

According to GSM Arena the Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini has been set to receive the update second quarter of this year, but the latest news on Samsung's Android 5.0 Lollipop claims that device is set to receive the update "soon."

It was reported that Samsung Denmark has listed that Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 mini is about to start seeding.

The device which currently runs on Android 4.4.2 Kitkat will update the ''TouchWiz UX wrapping the Lollipop update will bring the 64-bit ART runtime as well as the Material Design UI with new Quick Settings and Recent Apps menu. There's also Project Volta for improved battery life,'' GSM Arena added.

As for other Samsung devices, the Samsung Galaxy S4 for Sprint has started receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop update via OTA since Friday, " about three weeks after they released it initially and then retracted it due to apparent issues with the Spark version of the device," Master Herald reported.

The Sprint Spark will be getting the update too which includes a Factory Reset Protection feature.

On the other hand, AT&T has released the Android 5.0 for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users which addresses previous bugs and bloatware that include Amazon shopping, Softcard and Evernote. Though it still unclear if it will support HD calling features. (via Christian Today)

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is still missing on the list as there had been rumors that the previous flagship won't be receiving the update.

Tech Times added that Samsung Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy S5 Sport have already received the update in some regions.
