‘Harry Potter’ Star Evanna Lynch Politely Asks Homophobes To ‘Block Me’ On Facebook! Does Luna Lovegood Share The Same Views?

"Harry Potter" star Evanna Lynch told off offensive followers on her Facebook page in the nicest way possible - just like her famed character Luna Lovegood.

Following the results of Ireland's positive voting to recognize same-sex marriage, the 23-year-old actress posted a long message for homophobic followers who couldn't keep themselves from offending people on Facebook.

"I am making a special request to all of you today in light of an ugly Instagram thread that is really bothering me. Simply, if you are someone who perceives homosexuality as 'disgusting' or 'f-d up' or 'unnatural', will you do me a kindness and please unfollow me on all social media platforms," she started, adding that these people should "block me" as well.

She also revealed that the "nasty, scathing and downright cruel remarks just Wear. Me. Out."

"I believe in always promoting a positive message and I don't want your poison all over my carefully curated wall of light and positivity," "Harry Potter" star Evanna Lynch continued, pointing out that it is people's attitude and not their "beliefs" that trigger nasty comments against the LGBTQ community.

"I cannot deal with this kind of venom, and more to the point it is wasted energy on your part to put it here," she added.

The Irish actress further appealed to the Luna Lovegood fans in light of her message about respecting people's individual beliefs and way of life.

"Luna Lovegood's love is a GOOD kind of love," she shared. "It is not conditional or possessive or needy or demanding. It doesn't fall apart the moment you expose a piece of yourself that is unconventional or even unbecoming."

"Luna is a character who accepts all people and creatures in all forms, loves them for exactly what they are and who is constantly in awe at the diversity, strangeness and newness of each being she encounters."

The successful franchise's author, JK Rowling also shared her support for Ireland's vote to legalize same sex marriage.
