The Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL rumors have been making its rounds over the internet and the latest rumor news indicate its existence.
According to the specs obtained by WMPowerUser from its credible source, the Lumia 940 may not possibly come with a larger variant as opposed to previous leaks.
The Lumia 940 will sport a 5.2-inch display (2560×1440) and its unspecified processor will be supported by a 3GB RAM and an onboard 32GB of internal storage. As for its camera it will feature a 20 MP rear camera, presumably with PureView technology.
GSMArena added that the Lumia 940 will feature a USB Type C connector, "which may be used for the Continuity feature, which can switch between touch mode and desktop mode. Type C connectors can carry data, video and power simultaneously, making the setup simpler."
Meanwhile, UnleashThePhones previously reported that Microsoft is in the works with two new flagships "Cityman" and "Talkman" which may clearly points out to the Lumia 940.
According to its report, the "more premium high-end" Lumia codenamed "Cityman" will feature a 5.7-inch QHD display, while the "Talkman" has a smaller screen display of 5.2inch with the same resolution.
Both phones will be powered by a 64-bit processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Snapdragon 808 which we've first seen on the LG G4. Their processors are coupled with a 3GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB which can be expanded via a microSD.
Camera-wise, both flagships are said to feature a whopping camera of 20MP on its rear and 5MP front snapper. A 3000mAh removable battery is baked in these flagships.
Other rumored features of the upcoming Lumia 940 include from Fudzilla may include an iris sensor for user's authentication, a docking station that can be connected as an accessory, or will work as a standalone computer like the Motorola Atrix and some features like a 3D-interaction.
