It's been a great year for American actress Taraji P. Henson.
After getting the female lead role in the phenomenal hit musical TV show, "Empire," the 44-year-old star immediately gained critics' approval.
And while the cast members of "Empire" are all still on break, Henson appeared in an interview with "Wendy Show", where she candidly talked about rumors surrounding her.
Apparently Taraji P. Henson is being linked to her "No Good Deed" co-star Idris Elba and what better way to adress this rumor was to also adress the other rumor claiming that she's in a feud with "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" reality star and singer K. Michelle.
"Me? Dating Idris Elba? I ain't fighting K. Michelle. That was a joke! That was a serious joke. No, I don't date guys that I work with," she quipped.
Furthermore, the actress revealed that she is still single right now, especially with her busy schedule with "Empire" as it slowly approach season 2.
"I'm not dating right now. It's the same old story. It's hard to date. Guys don't court anymore. Take me out to dinner. Say you're going to pick me up at a certain time..."
"I'm not like, 'Woe is me. I don't have a man."
Taraji P. Henson also revealed why she refuse to date men who are older than her.
"They have issues [down there]."
And while she's happy being single she is also very happy upon hearing the news that her ex Common has now moved on with Regina King.
"Good for him! That's a great couple!" She exclaimed.
In conclusion the "Empire" star opened up about her first heartache, where she admitted that like most girls she thought that her "high school sweetheart" would have been her "forever."
"I was just young and dumb. You know, where you're in love...he was my first sexual experience. I thought we were going to be together forever. I thought we were going to get married. He was my high school sweetheart. I put my name on a lease on an apartment that he was bringing other girls to. I found weave hair all over the apartment and my hair was red at the time."
