Microsoft continues to use the Nokia branding and unveiled an entry-level phone few days ago.

The Nokia 105 and Nokia 105 Dualsim 2015 bring back the old school Nokia phone with several improvements as announced on Lumia Conversations on Microsoft's website.

Though it does not boast a powerful Windows OS, the new Nokia 105 would be a tough contender against Chinese manufactured feature phones that targets emerging markets.

The new Nokia 105 is ideal as a back-up phone, especially for text and call purposes. With its improved battery life of 800mAh it can last up to 15 hours of talk time and standby time of up to 35 days, as per Microsoft's claims. Also, the phone itself can accommodate 2,000 contacts.

Moreover it has been preloaded with essential features such as torch light, fm radio and games like Snake Xenzia and Bubble Bash 2.

"With handsets like the new Nokia 105, Microsoft brings very affordable mobile opportunities to more people," commented Jo Harlow, corporate vice president of Microsoft Devices Group.
