Several popular series have been turned into movies in the past years. This season, however, it looks like broadcast stations are investing more on giving famous films TV show adaptations.

The TV version of Keanu Reeves' "Constantine", which starred British actor Matt Ryan, had a popular albeit brief run on NBC last season. On the other hand, "Fargo", was a complete success with reports of a second season already in the works.

This year, stations are getting more into the film-to-TV-series trend. Fox will be producing a sequel of sorts for the Steven Spielberg sci-fi film "Minority Report".

Variety also gave out a list of films that will have TV show adaptations.

The Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker action comedy, "Rush Hour" will be getting a small screen version via CBS. The broadcast station will also be premiering a longer version of the 2011 thriller "Limitless" which was produced by Bradley Cooper himself.

CBS will also be turning medical documentary drama "Code Black" into a small screen series.

According to Christina Davis, executive vice-president of drama series development in CBS, the influx of films getting TV adaptations isn't because of lack of more interesting ideas in the industry.

"I think it really is just a coincidence this year that we tapped into two movies and a documentary. It wasn't for lack of inspiration," she told Variety.

According to Time's list last December, "Big", "Hitch", "Scream", "Marley & Me", "Bachelor Party", "In Good Company", "Monster-In-Law", "Devil's Advocate", "Real Genius", "The Illusionist", "Uncle Buck", "12 Monkeys", "The Odd Couple", "School Of Rock", "Shooter", a "Shutter Island" prequel and "The Truman Show" will be getting their own series.

"Damien", which will revolve around a grown-up Damien Thorn from "The Omen", will also get its own series on A&E. Bradley James, who most recently was seen in the CW's "iZombie", will be starring.

Which of these films with TV adaptations are you looking forward to the most this year?
