Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been very protective of their baby Esmeralda Amada. It's been more than nine months since the 41-year-old actress gave birth to their daughter, but until today there's still no sighting or photo of her.
During an interview with Violet Grey, the "Hitch" actress explained why she and her boyfriend decided to hide her pregnancy.
"Whether we like it or not, privacy is going to be very difficult for Esmeralda," Mendes said. "I think it's unfair but that's our reality. So Ryan and I decided early on to give her as much privacy as we could."
Since privacy is very important for the Hollywood couple, that could also be a factor for not hiring a nanny. Eva Mendes revealed to InStyle (via Mail Online) that she insisted on not getting any external help when it comes to motherhood.
"I'm a very hands-on mom; I don't have a nanny. No matter how tired I am, I just do it," the brunette beauty admitted. Ryan Gosling's girlfriend also revealed that she still finds time to do her beauty routine. "Well sometimes I do it at 4 a.m." she explained. "I'm no longer in control of my schedule, and I try to take advantage of the time when she's [Esmeralda] sleeping."
A few weeks ago, Eva Mendes posted a lovely photo of her design on Instagram but her face wasn't visible.
"Loving this summer dress from our new @nyandcompany collection. Didn't include my face because last night was long and crazy. Yup, really wild like 8 month teething baby kinda wild," she wrote.
While the new mom is busy with her career in acting and fashion, her boyfriend Ryan Gosling has been juggling time between filming "The Big Short" and taking care of Esmeralda Amada. The 34-year-old actor was spotted in LAX last April after his trip from Texas as reported by Mail Online. He was probably excited to get back home to his girlfriend Eva Mendes and their baby Esmeralda Amada.
