‘The Legend Of Zelda’ E3 2015: Two New Adventures Announced For Nintendo 3DS, While Wii U Version Might Get A 2016 Release

The most anticipated "The Legend of Zelda" Wii U version wasn't mentioned at Nintendo E3 2015, but it has been rumored to arrive in 2016. While Nintendo 3DS fans get two new adventures, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

"The Legend Of Zelda" producer Eiji Aonuma and Triforce Heroes director Hiromasa Shikata introduced the "The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes" for the 3DS that is due on Fall 2015 at E3 2015.

The multiplayer action packed game features an up to three players team up that will "take on dungeons in on- and offline play. One of the primary methods of cooperation is a mechanic called the Totem," Digital Trends wrote.

"The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes also has a new totem technique where you can stack three Links on top of each other. Making a totem is necessary to reach higher platforms and to toss Links across gaps," Siliconera added.

On the other hand, the "The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Warriors Legends" is expected to arrive Q1 2016 with Tetra and King Daphnes as added characters on the 3DS version. Upon purchase of the second 'The Legend Of Zelda' adventure it will unlock the new characters on Wii U and will get the Wii U DLC content too.

Despite the lack of appearance of "The Legend Of Zelda" at the aforementioned event, there's still hope that the game will arrive in 2016 as hinted by Nintendo of America boss Reggie Fils-Aime explained to IGN (viaExpress)

"We like to show content that typically will launch in the upcoming Holiday and maybe extending into the first half of the following year. And at this point, the new Zelda for Wii U is not a 2015 project," Fils-Aime told IGN.

"There's also a recognition that we didn't want to frustrate the consumer. We could have scored a lot of points and showed some little tidbit of Zelda Wii U, but in our collective opinion the belief was, in the end, that would cause more frustration than benefit."
