Upcoming Meizu MX5 Leaks: GFXBench Revealed Specs Ahead Of Its Release Date; Tipped To Bear A Metal Chassis

Meizu, a growing Chinese tech firm like Xiaomi, is set to drop the bomb in the Android market in a few days which might give a stiff competition with Android devices in China and other regions where the upcoming flagship will be made available.

The Meizu MX5 is set to be unveiled in China on January 30, and ahead of its release its benchmarking revealed as it appeared on GFXBench. ( Phone Arena)

According to leaked listing the upcoming flagship packs a 5.5inch screen display with a 1080p x 1920 FHD resolution screen.

Under the hood, it has a 64-bit MediaTek MT-6795T SoC true octa-core clocked at 2.1GHz CPU, coupled with a PowerVR G6200 GPU and will run pre-installed Android 5.0.1 fresh out of the box with Meizu's own Flyme UI. ( IB Times)

It has also a solid 3GB of RAM and an onboard 16GB of internal memory. Camera-wise, it pulls off a 20MP camera on its rear and a 5MP front snapper.

The leaked benchmark listing has only revealed some of Meizu MX5 key specs and features, but Android Headlines dishes out more details of the Meizu MX4 successor.

In terms of its design, the Meizu MX5 will boast a high-end metal unibody design , and "will sport a physical home button below the display, which will most probably double as a fingerprint scanner (we're still not sure if that will be the case), and will measure 146 x 74.6 x 7.9mm, while it will weigh around 147 grams

Moreover, it was rumored that the the phone will be powered by a 3,150mAh battery, and was mentioned in different leaks too.

For its network and connectivity features,it will offer 4G LTE connectivity (both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE).

Aside from these details, GSM Arena reported that the device was tipped to carry a hefty price tag of 1,799 yuan in China or around $290.
