Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber and Gomez ended their two-year romance, according to an E! report on Friday with other media outlets confirming they had. Bieber went on to send a cryptic message during his concert on Saturday night, confirming the pair did split.
At his concert in Boston on Saturday, Bieber played an acoustic guitar and sang Justin Timberlake's hit, "Cry Me A River," a song with lyrics that describe the feeling of finding out a partner has been cheating.
Although he did not confirm if the song choice deliberately referred to Gomez, 20, who ended the relationship more than a week ago.
"Selena broke up with Justin about a week ago. It's been a really challenging experience over the last year because of their crazy schedules," one insider told Us Weekly. A rep for Bieber has not yet responded to Yahoo! Music's request for comment.
Now in an interview with Open House Party radio show host John Garabedian asked me if he and Selena Gomez had broken up.
"I don't know what to say. I don't know what's going on in my life. To even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment."
The awkward exchange continued as Garabedian said, "Well, let's move on to the next subject," and Bieber tersely replied, "That would make sense."
Bieber seemed to confirm that his relationship with Selena Gomez is on the rocks after sending out this tweet on Sunday:
"Regardless of what happens I see all of the tweets and all the love you guys are sending me," he wrote. "Thank u. Love u too."
