The CW recently announced the schedule for its Fall 2015 lineup! According to TV.com, "Supernatural" season 11 will be premiering on Oct. 7.
Last week, Jensen Ackles , who plays Dean Winchester, teased fans of the upcoming filming for the new season with a plane ride selfie. Will he be as involved with the new season as he was in past years?

Producer Jim Michaels confirmed Ackles' return to the directorial chair last week through Twitter.
"The 1st Ep of @cw_spn that we will shoot for season 11 will be 3rd to air on October 21, 2015 #SPNfamily with @JensenAckles at the helm!" he tweeted, along with some photos of location scouting in Canada.
This explains Ackles' early departure for the "Supernatural" filming which Christian Today reported wouldn't be until July 7, according to YVR shoots. Filming will then wrap up on April 20.
The 37-year-old star previously directed at least one episode in past seasons (usually the third instalment) since season six except for nine.
TVLine also revealed a couple of spoilers for the new season, including the episode that Ackles will be helming titled "The Bad Seed".
"It marks the introduction of Amara, a femme fatale in her late 20s who possesses an acid tongue and a seductive beauty," the report read about the said episode. "The fearmonger is new to Earth and is so not impressed with the place. That doesn't stop her from sticking around; she's set to recur throughout the season."
Michaels also revealed in previous tweets that writers have already finished eight of the 23 episodes for "Supernatural" season 11.
Meanwhile, fans will be meeting stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard as well as executive producer Jeremy Carver at the San Diego Comic Con this July 11.
They will reportedly "answer questions about Season 11, serve up a video presentation of series highlights and tout special features from the upcoming 'Supernatural:' The Complete Tenth Season DVD and Blu-Ray release."
