It seems that a possible rift between Scott and Stiles, longtime pals on the "Teen Wolf" Season 5 series, is happening according to the lead actor Tyler Posey in a recent interview.
Posey sat down with Entertainment Weekly's Samantha Highfill on their "Q and Play" segment where the actor was asked to play video games while answering some questions about "Teen Wolf" Season 5.
Along with questions on the Dread Doctors and Theo's backstory, Posey also answered questions about the future of the friendship between his character Scott and Stiles and confirmed it is going to a rocky phase.
"We want to make a relatable Scott and Stiles relationships," he shared in the interview. "Even though we will be focusing on the 'bromance,' there might be a little rift in our relationship."
The actor said he recognized the fact that there will always be arguments in every friendship such as between Scott and Stiles on "Teen Wolf" Season 5, adding that they want to show this to viewers.
"When we were making Teen Wolf, it is very different from the original. I think we should call it 'Scott and Stiles,'" Posey further said.
Franchise Herald earlier reported "Teen Wolf" Season 5 creator Jeff Davis saying that the current season will be a challenging one for Scott and Stiles.
"One of the things we wanted to do most this season was test their friendships in a way we've never done before, and actually test Scott's role as a leader," he said. "One of the themes of this season is failure of leadership, whether Scott can survive that."
Among the causes of this alleged rift on "Teen Wolf" Season 5 is due to the arrival of the new enemies such as the Dread Doctors.
"We're going to see how secrets and these minor betrayals get in the way of friendships, but these bad guys will definitely play a part of it as well," Davis added.
Tyler Posey plays the role of Scott while Dylan O' Brien plays the role of Stiles.
