[Listen] Austin Mahone Gets Some ‘Dirty Work’ Done Early! Is He Consciously Getting Away From Justin Bieber Comparisons?

Is the long wait finally over? Fans were surprised to see Austin Mahone's "Dirty Work" unveiled way ahead of its July 10 release schedule!

The "Mmm Yeah" singer has been hard at work in the studio (with a bit of downtime to spend with his adorable girlfriend, Becky G) getting his first full length album together. Although it's been a long wait for Mahomies, the talented young artist surprised them earlier this week with the audio release of his new single.

The song has reportedly premiered on the radio today and is already available on iTunes.

MTV and Popcrush tagged the new song as "funky" and is a promising hit song for Mahone.

"'Dirty Work' is a bouncy, funky jam, and if it doesn't make you full-out groove, some part of your body will be moving - toe tapping, head bopping, elbows chicken-dancing, whatever. The beat is undeniable," MTV praised the recently released track.

"With its heavy guitar licks and blasting horns, "Dirty Work" manages the type of retro vibe we've been hearing more of on the radio from newer artists like Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor, though 'Dirty Work' is decidedly more funk than soul," Popcrush's article read.

However, MTV thought Austin Mahone's "Dirty Work" sounds a bit more along the lines of Nick Jonas or Jason Derulo.

According to the music news site, the Texan crooner also seems to be attempting to shed the Justin Bieber comparisons that have been plaguing him since he broke into the music industry. He had repeatedly been saying that he won't turn into another troubled young singer in Hollywood, insisting that he's focused on his music and will continue to improve in the future.

His recent songs, 'Torture' and 'Dirty Work', seem to suggest that he's finally ready to take on a more mature and experimental sound.

Do you think he's succeeding in getting away from the Justin Bieber comparisons?
