Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Specs ‘Eclipsed’ Galaxy S6? Leaked CAD Renders Allegedly Show Upcoming Phablet’s Design [Photos]

Leaks have so far hinted that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 specs closely resemble the Galaxy S6. But the upcoming flagship phablet may actually be better than Samsung's "other" flagship devices. This is something that leaked CAD renders seem to confirm.

According to a list of specs that Slash Gear compiled, the device could be packing a 1,440 x 2,560p Super AMOLED display. A sharper 4K display is also rumored to make it to the upcoming phablet. Allegedly powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor or its Exynos equivalent with 3GB of RAM.

The Note 5 is said to get the same 13MP rear shooter as the Galaxy S6 along with an 8MP front-facing camera.

Previous Franchise Herald reports said Samsung Galaxy Note 5 specs may not include a microSD card slot and a removable battery. The phablet's S-Pen stylus may even get a gesture or voice-activated auto-eject feature.

Meanwhile, French website NoWhereElse.Fr and serial leakster @OnLeaks posted leaked CAD renders of the Galaxy Note 5 which are said to come from "a trusted source." Check out the video here.

As Pocket-lint noted, the phablet's design could take cues from the Galaxy S6 even having the same camera and flash layout. According to the website, the device could have a 5.9-inch display as the renders imply.

"It looks like the Galaxy Note 5 is going to have the same treatment of a metal frame, with a curve to the edges of the back. It's difficult to discern what material the rear is, but we wouldn't be surprised if it's glass."

Aside from a cutout for the S-Pen stylus, the renders also show a micro-USB cutout instead of the rumored USB Type-C.

"The specs suggest that the [device] is going to measure approx. 153 x 77 x 10.2mm."

Expect confirmation of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 specs in the weeks leading up to its release date. As of now though, announcement is expected at IFA 2015 in Berlin in September.
