Production hasn't started for "Aquaman" movie. Still, it manages to make it to top news from time to time, thanks to the charismatic and frank lead cast Jason Momoa.

On March of this year, the actor better known for his Khal Drogo role in hit HBO TV series "Game of Thrones" drew flak from comic book fans for his comments on Marvel.

During autograph signing at the Indiana Comic-Con several months ago, the "Aquaman" movie lead cast was allegedly asked by a fan: "Can you write down a reason why all these DC haters out there should join our DC universe?"

Momoa's replied by saying "F*** Marvel."

Of course, with the long standing rivalry between DC Comics and Marvel, fans of the latter instantly attacked Jason Momoa.

Almost four months past, Momoa spoke again about the incident. The "Aquaman" movie cast said the "F*** Marvel issue was just taken out of proportion. While attending the Montreal Comic Con, Momoa explained the foul words that made it to the news and saw in the autographed picture was something he did not write but by the fan who asked for his signature. This tidbit was provided by Twitter user Tron Vin (@_TronVin).

"He was asked about the "fuck Marvel" incident: He said it blew out of proportions. It was a joke between the fan and his girlfriend. His girlfriend was a Marvel fan while he was more DC, so he asked Jason to sign "fuck Marvel" on the poster, which he did, then it came on the internet and everyone made it a big deal. Jason sai it didn't came from him but from the fan who asked him to sign this. He said that's why now he doesn't make personalised autograph anymore. He said he likes Spider-man and admires Robert Downey Jr and Chris Hemsworth and said "I love everyone. I love Marvel."

"Aquaman" movie is part of the expanding DC Cinematic Universe. It will be directed by James Wan and will hit big screen on July 2018.
