One of the newest characters in "Under the Dome" season 3 is Marg Helgenberger's Christine Price, a therapist who volunteers to help people from Chester's Mill who are undergoing tough times caused by the calamities and deaths inflicted by the mysterious dome.
On the outside, she looks sincere in her intent to help people. But of course, this is the dome and it will be hard to determine whose side someone is on.
Main characters Barbie (Mike Vogel), Julia (Rachel Lefevre), and Big Jim (Dean Norris) were suspicious about Christine in the latest "Under the Dome" season 3 episode.
They are aware that she was nowhere to be seen during the times when the indestructible dome has just sprung up. This trio should be more careful. According to executive producer Neal Baear, the mystery surrounding Marg's character is bigger than what they think of.
"By the end of this season, you're going to know everything. There will be very few presents left under the Christmas tree that relate to everything you've seen, and a different perspective to the things you've seen before," Naer said during an appearance at a Los Angeles event.
"That is certainly the case with this new character portrayed by Marg, who you're going to find out has been in Chester's Mill this whole time. So why haven't you seen this character? She has a cohort played by Kylie Bunbury, whose character's name is Eva, and these two people are new residents of Chester's Mill and yet they've been there the whole time. And that really is kind of the story engine for this entire season."
Naer also said the remaining "Under the Dome" season 3 episodes will be darker and will stay true to the Stephen King novel where the CBS show was based from.
"It is going to feel much darker and much scarier this season - kind of in honour of the source material and the world that Stephen King created in the book."
