Fans will see "I Saw The Light" and Tom Hiddleston when it premieres in cinemas this Nov. 27. Will his role in the biopic put him on a straight path to an Oscar award?

The 34-year-old actor will be portraying country legend Hank Wiliams who gave us classics such as "Move It On Over", "Jambalaya (on the Bayou)" and "Lovesick Blues". He died at 29 due to heart failure after being destroyed by "fame and drugs", according to RadioTimes.

Hiddleston's acting talent had already been noted in his past works but will this new film be the one to get him recognized by the Academy.

Why should "I Saw The Light" and Tom Hiddleston be included in the Academy's radar?

RadioTimes reported that the upcoming film being a biopic - of a tragic musician's life at that - would definitely catch the Oscar judges' attentions.

"And if there are two things we know the Academy loves, they're harrowing real-life stories and actors inhabiting the role of famous people (basically big-screen impersonations)," the report continued, noting that biopics have a great track record in the award show's history.

Last year, fellow British actor Eddie Redmayne won Best Actor thanks to his role as famous physicist Dr. Stephen Hawking in "The Theory Of Everything". Another of Hiddleston's countrymen, Benedict Cumberbatch, was also nominated for his role as mathematician Alan Turing who became a hero in World War I but was later prosecuted for being gay.

As for the Oscars 2016, early predictions included "I Saw The Light" and Tom Hiddleston for a nomination if not for an award.

Included in the list is previous winner Redmayne, who will also be starring in a 1920s biopic, "The Danish Girl". This time, he will be turning into Einar Wegener, the first transgender woman to undergo a sex-change surgery.

Other possible nominees include Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, Johnny Depp and Michael Fassbender.

Do you think Hiddleston deserves an Oscar nomination this time?
