Fans were left in awe of the two "Arrow" - "The Flash" crossover episodes last year.

The two CW network superhero series worked together and the general reception about those episodes were good to great. Ratings-wise, the crossover epsidoes also helped them big time. With both series set to return for a new season, third for "Arrow" and second for "The Flash", it is natural for fans to ask for more.

Even before the two shows ended their latest season, their executive producers confirmed there will be new "Arrow" - "The Flash" crossover episodes. In fact, they are looking to have the two series starring Stephn Amell and Grant Gustin, respectively, become an annual event in CW.

Now, in a recent interview with Deadline, EP Greg Berlanti said they are not just looking forward to another "Arrow" - "The Flash" crossover episode. They are aiming for a grander one or two weeks of the Emerald Archer and the Scarlet Speedster in one city.

"We're trying to make that an annual thing, at least with Flash and Arrow. We've just been breaking into it over the last week or so actually, what that crossover would be this year, so we're, really, excited about it. We've got a great story lined up for towards the end of the fall, early winter. This year our real hope is to make a crossover that's even bigger, and even more rewarding for the audience than the last years," Berlanti said.

The executive producer added the new series "Legends of Tomorrow" can also join future "Arrow" - "The Flash" crossover episode.

"What I really like about the crossover is it ends up making all the shows feel like there's truly a universe that all these characters are operating in. Hopefully with Legends we'll find a whole other segment of the audience as well to add to that. Legends will be very different from Flash, which was very different from Arrow."

"Arrow" season 3 release date is October 7 while "The Flash" season 2 will premiere on October 6.
