Guns N' Roses is definitely one of the most successful and popular hard rock band in the music industry.

And while they remained active for the past 30 years, fans are still asking for more. In fact there were rumors claiming that the band is now working on a new album.

Although that is not impossible, guitarist DJ Ashba has just revealed that they are on hiatus.

In an interview with Las Vegas Sun, the 42-year-old musician explained that they have to take a break following their non-stop tours.

"Ever since I joined G N'R six years ago, it's almost been non-stop touring. But we've kind of talked of more touring, and I'm looking at this more as a hiatus than the end," he told the Las Vegas Sun

His statement immediately sparked rumors that the band has broken up. However, Ashba was quick to assure fans that they are just merely taking a break from making a new album and doing tours and that they're not breaking up as a band.

In line with this news, Guns N' Roses frontman, Axl Rose had previously announced that the band is not going to do any touring anytime soon.

"I don't think there's gonna be any touring soon, he admitted via an excerpt from Blabber Mouth. "We have been working on material. And that sort of starts and stops, but we're still plugging away at it."

And while many did not find his statement entertaining, his bandmate Richard Fortus was quick to defend Axl Rose's decision.

"I've worked with a lot of people in this business, and I've never seen, or met, anybody that was motivatd purely by that - by the desire to make art," he explained on the podcast.

"And you can say whatever you want about it, 'cause he's not gonna defend himself, but he is that, and that's for sure. Otherwise, there would have been a reunion, because the offers for money have been outrageous. But he would never do a reunion unless it was for something besides money."
