Katie Holmes forgets Broadway lines? Yes, that's what the actress confessed on David Letterman's Late Show, saying that it was her worst nightmare as she embarked on Broadway acting.
The 34-year-old former Dawson's Creek star looked stunning in a tight, hot pink dress on Late Show Thursday, revealing a recent time she forgot her lines during a live performance of the Broadway play Dead Accounts.
"A couple of weeks ago I had the moment that I've been dreading," she told Letterman. "Which was, I have this kind of big speech in the second act and it's pretty important because it kind of goes along with the theme of the show. And I said the first line, and I'm looking at (co-star) Judy Greer and I'm supposed to be angry with her. And then the second line I didn't remember. And I didn't remember the third one. And I just looked at her like -".
"Obviously, I knew what the point of (the speech) was so I made my way there," she said.
"Eventually you got back on track, right?" Letterman asked, "How long did this misstep last?"
Holmes said that while the ordeal only lasted a few minutes, it "felt like a good hour."
