All of the cast and characters enlisted for new superhero series "Legends of Tomorrow" were well received from other shows they were pulled from.

There is Brandon Routh who made fans laugh in "Arrow" as Ray Palmer/The Atom. Caity Lotz was also commended for bringing in femme fatale in the same show.

Other parts of LoT are Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell who played bad ass villains Captain Cold and Heatwave in "The Flash." One "Legends of Tomorrow" cast member is not from either shows and she has to work from the bottom to earn people's respect.

Ciara Renee is a relatively young artist and being part of "Legends of Tomorrow" cast is one of her biggest projects so far. Her role, Hawkgirl, is one of the most iconic in the comics industry and she knows it.

She is aware she will undergo intense scrutiny. When she got the role, Renee said she got some criticisms for being hailed Hakwgirl. Now, she has this to say to those who say she should have not been selected for the role.

"When it was first announced that I was playing Hawkgirl, there was so much positive response," the young "Legends of Tomorrow" cast said in an interview with Comic Book Resources.

"And then there were obviously, like, a lot of people who were like, "Um, she's not a redhead. She's not white. She doesn't have green eyes. This is ridiculous." And it's like, "Okay, guys. I get it. You're diehard fans. That's really cool, and that's the way that it was. But you have to keep in mind that she was written in 1940. At that time, there were no other ethnicities in comic books. Like, that wasn't happening."

Renee also said "Legends of Tomorrow" has great writers who will make sure that Hawkgirl fans will be satisfied.

"So now it's like, here we get the chance to revamp and expand. And we have great writers to do it, so why not? I think having something set since 1940 was long enough. We need to see something there, and I think we're getting it. And I think it's awesome."

The show will debut in 2016. Also part of the "Legends of Tomorrow" cast is Arthur Darvill who will play time traveling superhero and the team's de facto leader Rip Hunter.
