Charlie Sheen Slur: Actor Apologizes for Homophobic Comment [VIDEO]

Charlie Sheen homophobic slur was caught on video on Friday night while the actor was hosting the grand opening of a new rooftop bar at a seaside hotel in Mexico.

In the video, Sheen at a microphone warms up the crowd for musical guest Slash, the former Guns N' Roses guitarist, asking the audience, "How we doing?" After a lackluster response he yells, "Lying bunch of f*ggot a**holes, how we doing?"

Charlie Sheen later issued an apology, according to the entertainment website.

"I meant no ill will and intended to hurt no one and I apologize if I offended anyone," Sheen said. "I meant to say maggot but I have a lisp."

On Friday, Sheen promoted on Twitter the opening of Epic Bar on the rooftop of the four-story El Ganzo hotel in San Jose del Cabo, near Cabo San Lucas, on the southern tip of Baja California. Sheen later tweeted a photo of himself with an arm around Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, touting the mayor's visit to the grand opening.

'From Boyle Heights 2 Mayor of LA..! .... Antonio Villaraigosa knows how to party!' he wrote as the photos caption. The photo caused some controversy and was later deleted from Sheen's feed, but remained on his Twitpic account.

Meanwhile, the actor recently donated $75,000 to a charity fund set up for a young girl battling cancer.
