Amar'e Stoudemire, the New York Knicks forward, and his wife Alexis are expecting their fourth child together after recently getting married back in December.
Stoudemire and Alexis were engaged in Paris in June and tied the knot on Dec. 12 (12-12-12) on their N.Y.C. apartment roof deck. Now they are having baby number four in late spring 2013.
Amar'e is excited about his fourth child on the way and claims that he and his wife are very "blessed" to be expecting a new addition to their family.
"We're blessed that we were able to extend our family," said the 30-year-old New York Knicks player, according to People magazine. "We're both huge on having a nice size family. It was something we've been talking about for a while. It happened naturally and at the right time so it all worked out."
The couple, who already have three children together - Ar'e, 7,Amar'e Jr., 6, and Assata, 4 - say their kids also can't wait to add baby number four.
"They're very, very excited," Alexis told the magazine. "They just keep guessing if it's a boy or a girl." And if the NBA star has his way, they will find out the gender sooner rather than later - he said he can't wait to see if it's a boy or a girl!
Even though Stoudemire and Alexis got married in December, the couple will hold another wedding celebration this summer. "We're planning a big, extravagant Cinderella wedding for Alexis!" says Amar'e.
"It was beautiful to have a private ceremony with close family and friends," says the star of their December nuptials. "I planned it; I wanted to have something that was more spiritual where we could really understand what being married means. It was a great way to end 2012."
