Everyone's got an answer when it comes to what they want for "Agent Carter" season 2 but what about Hayley Atwell? Apparently, she wants a song and dance number.
"I'd like to do a kind of bit of a sing and dance!" Atwell told The Mary Sue during the CTV Upfront in Toronto.
"I just have this vision of [Peggy] on top of a dive bar piano, singing with a glass of whiskey in her hand. I just love that idea."
The British actress did note that a musical number in the show may never come to fruition. For now, the closest thing to one is her epic Dubsmash battle with Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the "Agents of SHIELD" cast where she got help from no less than Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans) himself, as documented by Hitflix.
More realistically though, Atwell said she'd "love to see more of [Peggy's] humor."
"I think that's something the audience likes so I want to bring that out a little bit more."
But will the mysterious Darkforce overcome Peggy's lighter side? Last week, Franchise Herald reported that the SSR Agent will face the threat in "Agent Carter" season 2.
Executive producer Tara Butters described it to Comic Book Resources as "an unknown property that we will find potentially our characters having to deal with."
EP Michele Fazekas added that "they don't know what it is" or what it can even do." However, they do know that it gives people superpowers.
According to the showrunners, Peggy will be trying to find out what the Darkforce really is. They also noted how she's "starting in a very different place" as she now enjoys respect among her peers and is moving on from Captain America.
"That's kind of where we pick her up and she will have some disappointments, obviously, in [season 2], but at the same time, you know, she will potentially meet new people that will surprise her," Butters said.
As for a new love, Fazekas said, "it will be complicated."
"It's not going to be, 'I'm gonna meet somebody and fall in love with them, it'll be amazing.' We're gonna make it not so easy for her."
