A Brawl at a baby shower in Massachusetts broke out after uninvited guests showed up at the party, resulting in chairs being flung around and bottles smashed at each other.
According to the Associated Press, three men and a 14-year-old were arrested after the baby shower brawl. Police say 24-year-old Patrick Cardoso Lopes; 24-year-old Paulo Pires Depina; and 22-year-old Aderito Lopes Deandrade, all of Brockton, were released on $1,000 bail at their arraignment Monday.
The 14-year-old boy's name was not released because of his age.
The men face charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assault and battery on a police officer.
Police say as many as 200 people were involved in the brawl, including women, and that the scene was a "nightmare". They responded to a function hall in Stoughton at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday and found as many as 200 people involved in the fight they say was sparked by uninvited guests.
"The behavior was appalling. It was absolutely appalling. There's just no other way to put it," Officer Robert Devine said, according to the Daily Mail.
"The worst part was there was a lot of children. Our officers were concerned about the safety of the little ones, while the people who were fighting apparently could have cared less. They were swinging chairs and smashing bottles."
