Tom Hiddleston Reveals New ‘Crimson Peak’ Poster To Twitter Followers! Promises ‘Not Long Now’

Aug 07, 2015 09:31 PM EDT | By Pam Amantiad

Tom Hiddleston was on a "Crimson Peak" high as he promoted the movie on Twitter earlier this week.

The Internet darling revealed the new international poster for the Guillermo del Toro-directed film on the microblogging site and even consoled fans for the long wait.

"Afternoon all. Here's the international poster for #CrimsonPeak. Can't wait to show it you all finally. Not long now," he told his 2.29 million followers on the site.

The new poster, which featured Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska, is done in the same dark and mysterious tone as the character profiles that were revealed previously.

All three main actors admitted in past interviews that the gothic horror film will be intense and "very kinky."

"Gothic romance is about sexuality ... the Victorians didn't talk about sex at all, so in a way, through ghosts, you could sort of express the taboo of sexuality," Hiddleston reportedly shared during the San Diego Comic-Con panel last July. "You could open your eyes to certain truths about yourself that maybe you didn't know. I think there's a theme running through the film about that, which I think is really great... it's romantic and scary at the same time."

Tom Hiddleston even found some "hard scenes" of "Crimson Peak" exhausting to shoot. Likewise, Chastain felt weighed down by some scenes she had to do in the R-rated movie.

"There was one scene in particular that was very difficult for me to film," she previously told io9. "And my character was emotional. There's a sequence in the film that goes on forever (laughs) and it's physically draining and emotionally draining."

"Sons Of Anarchy" star Charlie Hunnam will also be joining Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Tom Hiddleston in "Crimson Peak." Guillermo Del Toro's new film is set to be released in cinemas on Oct. 16.
