Following the lackluster movie, manga creator Hajime Isayama is reportedly determined to bring a better and more impressive "Attack on Titan" season 2 come its release date.
While there's no exact date yet, Crunchy Roll reported that it will most likely going to happen next year.
"The anime is set to return to TV to continue the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's hit manga in 2016," the publication reported.
VC Post added that that director Testsuro Araki already confirmed that "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is indeed happening in 2016.
According to Yahoo Japan as translated by Kotaku, Isayama took the criticisms really well as he is now determined to make improvements.
"As for the impressions and reactions of those who were excited about the movie, I want to take in the favorable opinions and also the indignant ones, if only to understand them," Isayama said.
In line with the anime's plot, season 2 of "Attack on Titan" will reportedly cover the story of "Clash of Titans."
"The fifth story arc of the 'Attack on Titan,' the 'Clash of Titans' arc encompasses the Titans appearance inside the wall, which forced 104th Trainees Squad to a brutal battle against those mysterious Titans," Kpopstarz reported. "Unknown to them, those Titans are actually members from their group. Eren, shocked, battles them in a decisive battle."
Additionally, "Attack on Titan" season will reportedly reveal the real identiy of Ymir and Krista Lenz.

"Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source.
