Barcelona Star Neymar To Transfer To Premier League In Two Year's Time

Aug 28, 2015 10:18 PM EDT | By Rolly Gacelo

Neymar transfer news took over the internet in the past few days.

Reports said Manchester United have already placed a £140 million bid for the Barcelona forward.

Although the La Liga champ has already denied such rumors, a South American football analyst said Neymar transfer to England is not far from reality. In fact, Manchester United expressing their intent to sign the young star is already a good first step.

"At the moment Neymar is very happy where he is but he's in the shadow of Lionel Messi. That's fine for now but if it's still the case in one or two years' time, he might want to go somewhere where he's going to be the big number one," said Tim Vickery, BBC Sport's South American football expert, according to Daily Star.

"England is obviously a potential in a year or two years' time. That's the game I think United are playing - establishing an interest, making it clear that they really want this player and are prepared to play big money."

Right now, Barcelona fans can rest and ignore Neymar transfer rumors. Barcelona president Joseph Maria Bartomeu revealed they are now working on contract extension for the 23-year old football star.

"Those are just rumours and what people write but there is nothing to it," Bartomeu told Catalan radio station Catalunya Radio.

"Neymar is happy at Barca. We don't want Neymar to leave at all.

"He is a young player that has an international football projection above the norm. He has helped us a lot in our recent successes.

"In a few months' time we will discuss his contract extension as he has three years left on his current deal. We want him to stay for many years, three, five, 10 or even 15 years more with us."

His agent also spoke about the matter and said Neymar is more keen on retiring with Barcelona. But of course, football is also business and nothing is really cast in stone.
