Which Role Did ‘Beauty And The Beast’ Star Emma Watson Felt Most Satisfied In? Also The Hardest

"Beauty And The Beast" may have wrapped up filming according to Emma Watson, but the British starlet won't be relaxing anytime soon.

Right after filming the Disney remake, she flew to Madrid, Spain to attend the red carpet premiere of her new film, "Regression," right alongside the film's director Alejandro Amenabar.

In the thriller movie, Watson plays a sexually abused daughter of a man (David Dencik) who couldn't recall the offense. Ethan Hawke also stars as the detective investigating the crime.

According to Express UK, her role in "Regression" is arguably her "most risqué role to date." Reports of frontal nudity from the "Harry Potter" star, circulated earlier this year to mixed reactions.

However, the "Beauty And The Beast" star Emma Watson revealed that she nabbed a more demanding role than her "Regression" character.

According to the Daily Mail, her role in the political thriller "Colonia Dignidad" was harder than anything she had ever encountered. On the other hand, it gave her an emotional gain as well.

"It's the hardest part I've ever had to play," she told the news site. "But also the most satisfying. It felt like the right thing to do."

The film is based on a Nazi cult in Chile while dictator General Augusto Pinochet was still in power in the 1970s. The 25-year-old actress plays Lena, who finds herself entering the said cult to look for her husband (Daniel Bruhl , "Rush").

Seeing as it's the "hardest" yet "most satisfying" role to date, will her acting as Lena in "Colonia Dignidad" turn her into becoming one of Hollywood's elite actresses?

"Emma is determined to distance herself from 'Harry Potter' and this is her big push to be taken seriously," a source reportedly told Daily Mail. "She gives an amazing performance and is being tipped as an Oscar contender. She is dowdy in this movie - she's undergone a make-under."

With "Regression," "Colonia Dignidad" and "Beauty And The Beast" seem to give Emma Watson a wide range of acting opportunities that could reward her with a Best Actress trophy in the near future.
