Following the Ashley Madison hack and the shocking Josh Duggar interviews, it was revealed that the eldest son of the Duggar family has checked in to a long-term treatment facility.

"Yesterday Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center," Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar announced in their official website. "For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change."

"In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future," they wrote. "During this time we continue to look to God-He is our rock and comfort. We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family."

Josh Duggar's decision to check in to a treatment facility comes after the Ashley Madison hack scandal, in which it was revealed that Josh was a user of the online cheating website.

Following the Ashley Madison scandal, Josh Duggar admitted cheating on his wife of seven years, Anna Duggar.

"I have been the biggest hypocrite ever," Josh previously admitted in an official statement. "While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife,"

Josh Duggar's admission of infidelity comes a few months after he was involved in an alleged sexual molestation of five underage girls.

Josh Duggar's sisters, admitted in an interview that their brother was a "very sly" molester.

In an interview with Megyn Kelly, Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard spoke on behalf of their eldest brother.

"(He was just) young boy in puberty who was a little too curious about girls," they said. Adding that the underaged girls were "mildly" touched in inappropriate places while "fully clothed" and "mostly asleep."

"He knew in his mind, 'My actions are wrong and I have bad intentions,' but he was very sly," Seewald said. "Like the girls didn't catch on. It was like, okay, if you catch the girl sleeping a quick feel or whatever...It was very subtle."
