A few weeks ago, Pusycatt Doll siren Nicole Scherzinger was speculated to be Ed Sheeran's new girlfriend but according to the recent reports, it seems that a new more "normal" girl has been taking all of his attention.
It seems that he has been out with the said woman for three alleged dates in New York City now, according to E! Online. The lady in question is reportedly his old school friend, Cherry Seaborn.
Seaborn kept the 24-year-old singer company before he kicked off the North American leg of his "Multiply" world tour in the Big Apple. They were spotted going to baseball games, strolling around the city, and grabbing some alcohol one night. The Daily Mail also noted that they were spotted leaving a New York hotel together twice.
According to Daily Mirror, the old friends attended Thomas Mills High School in Farmlingham, Suffolk. However, it seems that they only just reconnected recently when the "Thinking Out Loud" singer started following the hockey player on Twitter.
Ed Sheeran's alleged girlfriend is currently living in New York, attending Duke University after graduating from the UK's Durham University in 2013. She also played for Britain's under-21 hockey team and competed at the European Championships in 2012. She's now working at the Advisory Consultant at Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York.

"His friends want to set him up with a new girl and have their eye on a few people they've mentioned to him but he's very picky for obvious reasons," a source allegedly told Mirror back in June, adding that "doesn't want a famous girlfriend, he just wants someone down to earth and normal to share his life with."
Seaborn definitely fit the bill. Not only is she from his hometown, they also have past memories that they can reminisce about.
