A Georgia family recently got the surprise of their life when a giant Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket appeared in their front yard, and now KFC is offering the family a free fried chicken picnic to go with that bucket.

"KFC has offered to cater a picnic for Ms. Headrick, her family and friends to celebrate the coolest lawn art in Waynesboro. It would be fun to enjoy a KFC meal in the shadow of a giant KFC bucket," KFC spokesman Rick Maynard said according to FoxNews.

Georgia resident Aleena Headrick found  the 7-foot-tall bucket, which mysteriously appeared on her property last Thursday. She had no idea where it came from, but the mystery was soon resolved.

It turns out it belongs to her landlord, Freddie Taylor, who collets old signs.

"And that bucket right there, if you notice it, it don't say KFC," said Taylor. "It says Kentucky Fried Chicken. That bucket's probably 40 years old."

Taylor plans to have it mounted on a pole so it will be permanently displayed for all to see. But Headrick isn't mad; she said it will make her house hard to miss.

"It's unusual, but it makes really good landmarks when people come to our house," said Headrick. "You can just say, 'Come down to the giant KFC bucket and turn right.'"
