EGX 2015: Book Project Morpheus Demo To ‘Avoid Disappointment;’ 28 PS4 Games To Be Playable

Sep 14, 2015 01:37 PM EDT | By Jason Fonbuena

Spearheading Sony's presence at EGX 2015 will be 28 playable PS4 games. Project Morpheus demo will also be available at the event but attendees are required to reserve a timeslot.

"To help manage queues and avoid disappointment, those wanting to try out Morpheus will need to pre-book a timeslot," an EGX statement said.

Details on how to do this will be revealed next week. The VR titles that will be demoed haven't been announced yet.

The PS4 VR headset's presence at the event isn't limited to game demos, however. According to PlayStation Lifestyle, a Project Morpheus panel on Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. will feature PlayStation developers. On the following day at 4 p.m., Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer will present an "Uncharted" retrospective.

Those who are unable to attend can watch the live stream on EGX's YouTube channel.

In addition to Project Morpheus demo, attendees can also look forward to playable triple A PS4 titles including, "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain," "Star Wars: Battlefront" and "Call of Duty: Black Ops III," among others.

Head to EGX's website for the full list of games.

Also attending EGX 2015 is Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida who will participate in a discussion on Sept. 26 marking the 20th Anniversary of the PSOne's UK launch.

Players will also be able to take a trip down memory lane as a selection of classic PSOne games will be available for play at the PlayStation stand, according to EuroGamer.

"There's a PSOne 'Ridge Racer' time trial competition, too, with 20th Anniversary PS4s up for grabs."

Project Morpheus demo won't be the only VR experience attendees can look forward to at EGX 2015. Also gracing the event is HTC and Valve's Vive VR headset.

EGX 2015 opens its doors from Sept. 24 to 27. It will be held at the NEC in Birmingham. Tickets to the event are available at the EGX website.
