Verizon, Cognizant Enter Collaboration, to Deliver Technology Solutions to Clients

Verizon Communication, Inc. and Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp. have announced that they are entering into an enterprise-focused collaboration, according to a press release issued by Cognizant.

They are joining forces to accelerate the delivery of leading-edge technology-based solutions to enterprise clients.

The two companies said in the press release that they will be providing their enterprise clients a set of high-performance and reliable solutions that are focused on digital transformation.

The solutions will also focus on integration and business process support, technical expertise and networking.

CRN reported that Cognizant and Verizon will be able to help enterprise clients design, deploy, and manage customer experience solutions.

The solution will integrate social, mobile, analytics, cloud and sensor technologies.

CRN added that these solutions allow the enterprises to understand the meaning behind their data, thus enabling them to better understand the behavoirs, interests and needs of their end customers.

Rob Calloway, vice president, customer relationship management solutions leader at Cognizant, said in the press release that they and Verizon will be showcasing "the art of the possible" and "offer integrated business technology solutions that improve user experiences."

"Seeing your business through your customer's eyes requires an in-depth understanding of how and where data is generated and how to make meaning from that data to understand customers' behaviors, interests and desires," he said.

Calloway told CRN that Verizon is already a partner of Cognizant for intelligence networks, cloud and security solutions.

The partnership now includes customer relationship management.

Calloway also told CRN that the company believes the partnership "is differentiated in the market and gives their clients the ability to visualize their customer experience transformation journey."

The alliance will "also will highlight innovative capabilities offered by both [Cognizant and Verizon] as well as other mutual partners," he said.

Calloway also believes that enterprises need a way to harness their data to better serve their customers as they are up against IT environments.

The tools that enterprises use now often don't look at the big picture of people.

In addition, he stated that the alliance will be targeting enterprises that are looking to transform how they interact with clients, such as retail, insurance, and banking and financial services.

Verizon and Cognizant will be at the Salesforce.com Dreamforce conference from September 15 to 18 in San Francisco, according to the press release.
