Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shakes Further Expands Along Eastern Corridor

Mooyah Burgers, Fries, and Shakes is expanding to the Northeast and Florida according to restaurantnews.com.

"Mooyah delivers remarkable food in an environment that our guests love," outsource franchise sales organization Firmitas Entrepreneurial Development agent Jay Hummer told Restaurant News. "We look for brands that have an incredibly fast-growing sector, and Mooyah is hands-down the leader in the 'better burger' segment."

According to Restaurant News, the company plans to add 150 jobs throughout the region by the end of next year. These include the states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia .

Two restaurants are slated to go on Long Island, with one each in New York City, and Westchester County, and two in Pennsylvania Restaurant News reported. In Virginia, two restaurants are in the works for Northern Virginia by the end of 2014, particularly Richmond and Northern Virginia Restaurant News reported.

"Paired with our strong North American growth, including our recent 50th restaurant opening milestone in the United States, targeted individual market development is increasingly a large part of our strategic expansion plans," Director of Franchise of Mooyah Burgers, Fries and Shakes Michael Mabry told Restaurant News.

The restaurant chain's Florida expanision plans include 12 each in the Miami Fort Lauderdale area and Tampa, 11 in Orlando, five in West Palm Beach, three in the Fort Myers Naples area, and five in Jacksonville for a total of 48 franchise locations by the end of the year Restaurant News reported.

"Florida is a prime development market for the Mooyah brand," Mabry told Restaurant News. "We're looking for like-minded partners with passion for Guest service, people, a drive for the industry and our business to join our rapidly expanding franchise system."

Mooyah Director of Marketing Alexis Barnett Gillette told Restaurant News said the company is a close one from its customers to employees, and partners.

"Mooyah prides itself on being a family friendly business, from the Guests we serve to the franchisees who open restaurants with the goal of running them with people they consider family," she said. "We designed the restaurant concept with family in mind so everyone would feel welcome and comfortable."
