Michael Iglesias Becomes CiCi’s Pizza New Franchise Development Director

Micheal Iglesias has become CiCi's Pizza new director of franchise development according to restaurantnews.com.

"Michael brings an unparalleled track record and insight to CiCi's that will undoubtedly lead us to reaching and surpassing our strategic growth initiatives," vice president of real estate and franchise development Thomas McCord told Restaurant News. "Michael will strengthen our franchise system through the recruitment of new franchisees and take our brand to new markets by leveraging the strength of our portfolio of three prototypes that include our traditional buffet, Express and To Go."

With Iglesias's hiring, CiCi's hopes to grow the company in the years ahead in locations such as New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles, San Diego, Salt Lake City and Chicago, Restaurant News reported. Iglesias will work with an experienced franchise development team which concentrates on new and current franchise growth opportunities, strategic market planning, construction, and real estate support. Iglesias has over 25 years of experience in franchising, restaurant development, and real estate experience Restaurant News reported. 

As part of its long-term plan, the company is establishing a recently launched franchise equity partnership program, and is researching opportunities to grow internationally in Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico Restaurant News reported. 

Airports, casinos, military bases, and universities are also being considered.

The company has 500 restaurants in 34 states which offer its infamous pizza, pasta, salad, and soup and dessert buffet Restaurant News reported. CiCi's Pizza also offers a custom buffet, and catering, To Go and express locations, which are currently being tested Restaurant News reported.

Cici's Pizza is based in Coppell, Texas and opened its first restaurant in Plano, Texas in 1985 Restaurant News reported.
