After listing down the possible candidates for the Best Actor category, it's time for the 2016 early Oscar prediction for Best Supporting Actor. Who could be taking the coveted trophy home?

According to the Awards Circuit, there are several talented actors up for the award.

Last year, Michael Keaton was nominated for Best Actor for "Birdman" but lost to Eddie Redmayne's amazing performance in "The Theory Of Everything." This time, he reportedly has a higher chance for the Best Supporting Actor award for "Spotlight."

"Thor" star Idris Elba might also be in the running for his performance in "Beasts Of No Nation," along with Mark Rylance for "Bridge Of Spies." They could also be contending with Harvey Keitel for "Youth" and "Tom Hardy" for "The Revenant."

Other actors like Kurt Russell ("The Hateful Eight"), Sam Elliot ("Grandma"), Samuel L. Jackson ("The Hateful Eight"), Benecio del Toro ("Sicario") and funny man Seth Rogen ("Steve Jobs") could also stake a claim on the trophy.

Bradley Cooper, Rebert DeNiro, John Cusack, Dominic West, and Jude Law, among others are also in contention.
