Rachel McAdams Says Benedict Cumberbatch's 'Doctor Strange' Movie Is 'Psychedelic'

After her successful portrayal as Ani Bezzerides in HBO's "True Detective" season 2 and the boxing-themed film "Southpaw," Rachel McAdams is reportedly going to join Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel's upcoming "Doctor Strange."

With the release date set next year, the team is reportedly gearing up to begin production, which will reportedly take place somewhere in London and New York, Kevin Feige confirmed to MTV 

Apparently, when asked about her upcoming films at the Toronto International Film Festival, Rachel McAdams without hesistations confirmed that she'll be with Benedict Cumberbatch for "Doctor Strange," Comic Book Resources reported.

"I'm gonna go do 'Doctor Strange' [for] Marvel, kind of a psychedelic Marvel comic, yeah, with Benedict Cumberbatch. I'm really looking forward to that," she revealed.

McAdams however, failed to reveal what role she'll partake on the upcoming "psychedelic" film.

But according to Vanity Fair, she would most likely going to play is Clea, Strange's love interest who is equally magical.

If not, the publication also guessed that Rachel McAdams could either play the role of the Night Nurse from the 2006 limited series, "The Oath, or Morgana Blessing, Strange's long-time lover, who was first introduced in 1981.

In addition to McAdams and Benedict Cumberbatch, Variety exclusively reported "Hannibal" star Mads Mikkelsen will most likely take on the villain role.

"'Hannibal' star Mads Mikkelsen is in early talks to play one of the villains in Marvel's 'Doctor Strange' oppositeBenedict Cumberbatch, Variety has learned exclusively. While sources say no offer has been delivered, one is expected shortly. Marvel had no comment on Mikkelsen's involvement."

Tilda Swinton and Chiwetel Ejiofor are also both in the line up. With Ejiofor reportedly portraying the role of Baron Modo while Swinton will be Stephen Strange's mentor.

"The actress is negotiations to portray the Ancient One, the Tibetan mystic who is a mentor to Dr. Strange," Variety claimed.

Meanwhile, Benedict Cumberbatch revealed that his movie will open Marvel Cinematic Universe's "multiple dimensions."

"I'm very excited to be taking on 'Doctor Strange' for Marvel," he said in his video footage addressed to fans, Screen Rant reported.

"He's an extraordinary character and brings in a whole other dimension... hmmm... MULTIPLE dimensions to the Marvel universe."

"Doctor Strange" is scheduled to hit the cinemas on Nov. 4, 2016.
