Fans of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, and Steve Carell will surely be thrilled when they find out that Paramount Pictures has just released "The Big Short" trailer.

The movie is based on Michael Lewis' critically-acclaimed novel "The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine."

This isn't the first time that the author's work was made into a movie. His novels "The Blind Side" and "Moneyball" also did well in the box office.

"The Big Short" is directed by Adam McKay who is best known for his works in "Anchorman" and "Step Brothers" so viewers can expect a bit of humor in the film adaptation.

Based on the official synopsis released by the studio, "The Big Short" is about four outsiders who made a bold investment after discovering what the big banks, media and government refused to do which led to the global collapse of the economy.

However, their move has brought them into the dark underbelly of modern banking where they must question everyone and everything. Check out "The Big Short" trailer below which featured Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell:

During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Adam McKay shared his experience working with the Hollywood A-listers.

"There's such a difference between people that are establishing themselves and people that are established," he explained.

"These guys are all so successful that they most of all just appreciate each other. So there was no real feeling of competition or territorialism going on, but there was a feeling of everyone's got to be on their game because everyone respects everyone around them," the 47-year-old director added.

Now that fans got a glimpse of Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling and Steve Carell in "The Big Short" trailer, make sure to catch these Hollywood hunks on the big screen this December.

The movie will premiere as the closing-night gala film at AFI Fest on Nov. 12, before a limited opening in theaters on Dec. 11 and a worldwide opening on Dec. 23.
