Many people were thrilled when Ben Stiller announced back in April that Penelope Cruz will be joining the "Zoolander 2" cast which includes Owen Wilson and Will Ferrell.

A few months ago, the 41-year-old actress was spotted getting down and dirty, literally, as she shoots some scenes with the lead star of the sequel.

During an interview with Harpers Bazaar, the Javier Bardem's lovely wife shared her experience working on "Zoolander 2."

"I had a great time. I was there almost three months in Italy. And I mean for all of the fans of the first one, I can tell them, I'm almost 100% sure, no I'm 100% sure, that this is going to be even better!" she said.

"It's really funny. It's hilarious. Ben is such a hard worker and so talented, and you know to be there everyday with Ben and Owen, I laughed a lot. And Ben is very serious when he's working, but he forgets that he's wearing these absurd outfits when he's directing me. I laughed a lot," the Spanish beauty added.

Apart from Penelope Cruz, Owen Wilson also dished out some details on "Zoolander 2." During an interview with Collider, the 46-year-old actor who played Hansel in the first movie shared his thoughts about doing a sequel. "It's funny because the movie didn't do that well but I guess over the years it's developed a cult following," he said.

"When we first announced the movie at the Paris fashion show, we didn't know what the reaction would be but it seemed to be like a rock concert. I think that got us excited to then go and film the movie in Rome," the actor added.

Owen Wilson was a bit hesitant when asked about what people can expect in "Zoolander 2" and about his character. "Well it's not like it's 'The Sixth Sense' but they're trying not to have us talk too much about it," he said.

"But the movie picks up fourteen years later and Hansel at this point is not modeling the way that he used to be. I think the script's really funny and hopefully the movie will turn out as good," the Hollywood superstar added.

"Zoolander 2" will hit the theaters on Feb. 12, 2016 and stars Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, Penelope Cruz, Billy Zane, and Christine Taylor.
