There have been reports coming out that Daniel Craig will retire as James Bond after "Spectre" which is scheduled for release on Nov. 6.

Now many people are wondering who would be the next Agent 007. During an interview with the Press Association, Pierce Brosnan revealed who he thinks will take over the role.

The 62-year-old actor played James Bond from 1995 to 2002 so he basically knows what the producers are looking for.

"Anything is possible for sure, but I think he'll be male and he'll be white," Brosnan said.

However, he didn't disclose the fact that other actors of different race may take over the role.

"There's wonderful black actors out there who could be James Bond, and there's no reason why you cannot have a black James Bond," the Irish actor said.

Pierce Brosnan also believes the producers would never consider getting an actress to replace Daniel Craig.

"But a female James Bond, no, I think it has to be male. James Bond is a guy, he's all male. His name is James, his name is James Bond," he said.

There are rumors coming out that Idris Elba could be the next Agent 007.

"Daniel Craig actually set the rumor off," the 43-year-old actor told The Hollywood Reporter. "About four years ago he said Idris Elba would be a great Bond and then it started to creep," he explained and joked. "I blame Daniel."

Last month, Anthony Horowitz was asked by Daily Mail what his thoughts are about the "Luther" actor as the new James Bond.

"Idris Elba is a terrific actor, but I can think of other black actors who would do it better," he admitted.

"For me, Idris Elba is a bit too rough to play the part. It's not a color issue. I think he is probably a bit too 'street' for Bond. Is it a question of being suave? Yeah," the author of the 007 novel explained.

Pierce Brosnan thinks otherwise, but the black actor may not get the role anytime soon.

"Idris Elba certainly has the physicality, the charisma, the presence," he told Details. "But I think Daniel [Craig] will be there for a while yet," the veteran actor added.

It looks like the "Spectre" star may do another James Bond movie.
