In a past interview, Princess Diana wished for his sons to meet their perfect matches and get married to the women they love.

When Kate Middleton and Prince William got married, it seemed like a fairy tale come true.

However, Celebrity Dirty Laundry didn't share the same sentiment. In fact, the gossip site pointed out that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge relationship was "a slightly concerning echo of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's doomed relationship."

According to CDL, Prince George's mother manipulated her way into her husband's heart.

"The now Duchess of Cambridge schemed and plotted to nab Prince William. Kate switched universities and even waited a year to time her attendance at St. Andrews with William's arrival," the site said.

Likewise, Princess Diana also, supposedly schemed her way to marrying the heir to the British throne. However, the Duchess was reportedly more advantaged since she had her mother, Carole Middleton, backing her up.

Kate Middleton and Prince William's relationship was reportedly so similar to the latter's infamous one, that Prince Charles has already been meddling with his daughter-in-law's life. CDL further reported that Prince Charles is making sure that Middleton's bodyguard should be a woman to avoid cheating scandals similar to her wife's in the 1980s.

Princess Diana, left alone because of her husband's long-term affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles, was rurmored to have turned to the comforts of her bodyguard, Barry Mannakee. He was later dismissed in 1986 and died in a suspicious motorcycle accident a year later.

"From the start, when Kate became engaged, it was Charles who made the women-only stipulation, saying he didn't want her compromised in any way," a supposed former member of Scotland Yard reportedly told the site.

Because of this Emma Probert, the 43-year-old former flight attendant was assigned as the Duchess' bodyguard.

"I've heard that Prince Charles is more involved in who is being appointed. And if he asks for more women he will get more women," CDL quoted Middleton's former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe.

After four months of maternity leave, Kate Middleton is back to accompanying Prince William for official events.
