For the 10th consecutive year, Chili's is donating 100 percent of its net profits to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Customers dine at any of the over 1,200 Chili's restaurants throughout the country will have their whole check put towards the hospital's More Hope Campaign at St. Jude's. Richard Shadyac Jr. chief executive officer of American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital told Restaurant News the event  is a great every year.

"Chili's Grill & Bar is an amazing partner and each year we look forward to Donate Profits Day when Chili's team members and customers in communities across the nation come together to embrace St. Jude's lifesaving mission," he said.

The annual fundraising day has become a vital part of the hospital's national fundraising campaign.

"We are fortunate to benefit from this long-term, $50 million partnership that helps us raise tremendous awareness and funds to continue finding cures and saving the lives of children around the world." Shadyac said.

To participate, customers have the option of eating at a Chili's restaurant or ordering food to go.

"The partnership between Chili's and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is as much about giving back as it is about tradition, and guests make plans every year to dine or place a To Go order at their local restaurant on Donate Profits Day," Kelli Valade, chief operating officer of Chili's Grill & Bar told Restaruant News," she said.

According to Valade, days when you can eat at a restaurant and donate at the same time are hard to come by now-a-days.

"There is no other day during the year when you can simply enjoy any of your favorite Chili's menu items, while helping a worthy cause at the same time, ensuring no family ever receives a bill from St. Jude," she said.

While the franchise campaign's "Donate Profits Day" is one day, individuals can give to their local restuarant until the end of St. Jude's More Hope Campaign Sept. 25.

These include: eating chili's new chocolate peanut butter molten cake with 30 cents from every dessert ordered going to St. Jude; coloring the brand's signature chili-pepper shaped on a coloring sheet for a donation of the guest's choice; and buying a T-shirt that can be colored in, and features the campaign's logo for $12, and slap band for $4.
