A lot has been said about how "Arrow" will return with a lighter, more fun tone.

"Arrow" season 4 release date is just one week away and since they are targeting to be more fun, why not bring on the characters that provided the goofiest moment last season?

TV Line reported Charlotte Ross's Mama Smoak has been listed for a multi-episode arc. Ross appeared last season as Donna Smoak, the mother of witty computer genius Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).

"Felicity's mom has really got it going on - in that the Arrow spitfire's Season 4 visit has been extended into multiple episodes," the entertainment website wrote.

"TVLine - which last month broke the news of Charlotte Ross' return for Episode 6 of the new season (premiering Wednesday, Oct. 7) - now has learned that Donna Smoak will also appear in Episodes 9 and 10."

Mama Smooak's appearances last season was well received by fans for providing new dimension in the show. She burst into the scene last year with her daughter Felicity dating Ray Palmer. It will be exciting to see what will be her reaction now that Felicity is dating Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

Oliver and Felicity are official lovers once "Arrow" season 4 release date arrives. They ventured on a trip together in last season's finale but then had to cut it short (reason behind to be seen on the pilot ) because of some events in Starling City.

"Arrow" season 4 release date is Oct. 7 and reports say the Starling City Oliver and Felicity will arrive to is already a mess, forcing Laurel Lance and Thea to seek the Emerald Archer's help.

Read "Arrow" season 4 premiere synopsis below.

"MY NAME IS THE GREEN ARROW - Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) blissful getaway is cut short when Thea (Willa Holland) and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) pay them a visit and tell Oliver they need his help back in Star City. The city has been attacked by 'Ghosts,' assassins led by a dangerous man named Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough). However, when Oliver returns, Diggle (David Ramsey) makes it very clear that he doesn't want Oliver on the team."
