Ronda Rousey’s Next Fight To Smash UFC Record; Holly Holm’s Boxing Prowess To Test Champ?

Ronda Rousey's next fight against Holly Holm at UFC 193 later this year is tipped to smash UFC sales and attendance records.

Last week, Australia's Herald Sun reported that tickets to the event "sold as fast as the [Australian Football League] Grand Final."

But it's not like UFC 193 tickets were cheap. Reportedly, prices started at $100.60. Even at $468, "the best seats in the house" were gone in a matter of minutes. Then there were the VIP seats selling for $18,000 a pop.

Rousey vs Holm is also set to bring in a record crowd. According to the Herald Sun, Etihad Stadium's seating capacity will be increased to 70,000 by adding seats on the ground.

"That would smash the present world record for an Ultimate Fighting Championship event of 55,724 in Toronto four years ago," the report pointed out.

Rousey comes from a successful title defense against Bethe Correia after knocking her out in just 34 seconds. As noted by the Herald Sun's piece, the undefeated champ's last three fights lasted for a total for 130 seconds.

This time though, Ronda Rousey is facing a different kind of opponent in her next fight. Apart from her 9-0 MMA record, Hollw Holm was a decorated pro boxer with 33-2-3 record.

With such credentials, "Holm seems like an opponent who has been chosen to test Rousey a little more than previous challengers," according to Bleacher Report.

The website noted the UFC champ's tendency to take the fight to her opponents early on. But given Holm's boxing prowess could see her "be a little more cautious in her forward forays."

Even Rousey acknowledged this when she called Holm her "biggest challenge to date," as Franchise Herald previously reported.

Still, this hasn't stopped the 28-year-old from trash talking her opponent.

"I wish I had the chance to do some more touristy things," Rousey replied after being asked if she'd explored Melbourne, as quoted by New York Daily News.

"After I beat Holly, I will have some time."

Ronda Rousey's next fight vs Holly Holm is set for UFC 193 on Nov. 14 at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
