Sadly, "Silent Hills" is definitely not going to happen.

After Hideo Kojima and Konami announced that they're parting ways, the possibility of "Silent Hills" every reaching the shelves have also crushed.

However, supposed "Silent Hills" director, Guillermo del Toro announced that he and Kojima have plans for the disappointed plans.

While they're not going to make their own version of the game, Guillermo del Toro promised fans that he and Hideo Kojima are indeed cooking up something.

In his interview with IGN, the award winning director also confirmed that "Silent Hills" is definitely not going to

"I love working with Kojima-san," he said.

"We are still in touch. We are still friends and working into doing something together, but that's not going to be [Silent Hills]."

And while he and Kojima are no longer working on "Silent Hills," del Toro shared supposed details and plans about the cancelled game.

"We were in the planning stages, and it's a shame it's not going to happen," del Toro explained. "We were talking about really pushing the boundaries of the new consoles, and making the game really mess with your head. One of the great moments in Metal Gear [Solid] was Psycho Mantis. The idea that a game can actually interact with you, and stuff like that."

Guillermo del Toro said in a separate interview with IGN, on the other hand, that supposed lead actor, Norman Reedus is still hopeful that "Silent Hills" will push through.

"Norman [Reedus, the Walking Dead actor who was attached to play the lead role] was super happy, Hideo was super happy, and so was I," he said of their feelings about the game prior its cancellation.

"I know there's a petition going on the internet and it's gathering signatures. I would add my signature to it, and hope that someone pays attention."
