'The Flash' Season 2 Premiere Twist May Be Shocking But That's Not The End For [Spoiler]

"The Flash" season 2 premiere went down Tuesday night and it was a roller coaster of emotions for fans. Sure the movie-worthy effects dazzled and the drama sent fans to tears. However, there is one moment that some people, just like the characters inside the show, are having hard time to move on from.

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) stormed his way into the singularity in last season's finale. That was a tall task for him and in earlier spoilers before yesterday's episode, it looked like he succeeded in saving Central City. Turned out he had a help from a close friend. As seen in "The Flash" season 2 premiere, he was rescued by Robbie Amell's Ronnie Raymond, also known as the half of the Firestorm. However, when the dusts settled, only one of them returned.

The rest of the STAR Labs people believes Ronnie's gone but is that really the case? He is really dead according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. However, he insisted that this will not be the last people will see of him.

"Well, you're never really dead when you're on The Flash, a TV show where there are universes and time travel," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told Entertainment Weekly when asked if Firestorm is really dead.

"He was, in fact, killed in that moment, but that doesn't mean that we've seen the last of Robbie Amell on this show."

Kreisberg also pointed to Amell's blossoming career why his character has to go for a while. The Canadian actor, who is the cousin of "Arrow" star Stephen Amell, recently starred in "The Duff" and will be seen in the revival of hit Fox science-fiction drama "The X-Files."

"Certainly, Greg [Berlanti], Robbie and I all hope to work together on The Flash again" he said in the same interview conducted shortly after "The Flash" season 2 premiere.

"Part of the decision was Robbie's burgeoning film career. He's on his way to being a very big star, which he completely deserves both professionally and personally. We didn't want to stand in the way of that."

Kreisberg also explained that Ronnie Raymond's death will open up more storylines.

"As always, sometimes those tough decisions yield the best storytelling because obviously Ronnie's death has a major impact on all the characters, Barry, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker), Professor Stein. It also gave us a lot of our storytelling as we move forward. Everyone knows there's a second spin-off coming with Legends of Tomorrow. They know the Firestorm legacy is far from over, so it just gave us a lot of rich storytelling to pursue."

"The Flash" season 2 episode two is called "Flash of Two Worlds". Check synopsis here.
